A recruiting agency with a boozy reputation – in a good way – has signed a three-year lease at 6 Harrison Street in TriBeCa.

BevForce, which according to its website is a “premier job listing and recruitment portal for the beverage industry,” will be leaving its East Coast headquarters at 393 Broadway for their new digs once 2012 arrives on January 1st, according to published reports.

BevForce cited its anticipated company growth for their reasons behind the move.

Its top floor space is 5,877 square feet.

“What made this deal was the tenant really loved the way that the space was configured, the price, the location, and the character,” said Amy Murawski, an associate at ABS Partners Real Estate.

BevForce was particularly drawn by the space’s skylights, big round windows, and classic feel, she added.

Company founder Josh Wand said the new office will give BevForce the ability to expand in an architecturally stimulating location.

“I love that building, it’s amazing,” said Mr. Wand.

Asking rents were $34.71 a square foot, with 3 percent escalations and two months free time. The lease is for three years, with an option to extend for two, said Mr. Wand.

Kim Skarvelis of Cast Iron Real Estate Co. represented BevForce.

BevForce acts as an online job board for mixologists, baristas, and other beverage professionals on the hunt for “potable” employment. The company also recruits executives and salespeople for alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage companies.

BevForce’s new headquarters at 6 Harrison Street has some considerable history to its name. The six-story building was once the site of the New York Mercantile Exchange until the late 1970s.
